History

1978-79 Trained for a year as apprentice to David Leach
1979-81 Worked at Dartington Pottery Training Workshop
1981 Set up first studio in Exeter with the aid of a grant from the Crafts Council
1983 Moved to South Tawton Pottery
1983-86 Ran Series of International Summer Schools from the pottery.
1986-93 Moved to Bovey Tracey to share workshop with David Leach
1993 Set up own workshop in Woodbury

Full member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen - Chairman of Selection Committee 1996 - 98
Member of Westcountry Potters Association

Teaching Experience:
1981-82 Employed by dartington Pottery to decorate one-off pieces and train students in decorating techniques. Also taught adult evening class and ran childrens workshops from own studio.
1983-86 Set up and ran International Ceramics Summer Schools with students from many different countries. The courses covered throwing, handbuilding, glazes, kiln building and firing stoneware, porcelain and raku.
1994-95 Part-time lecturer at Exeter College teaching BTEC, Access courses, Art and Fashion and Open Workshops. Guest part time lecturer at Plymouth College of Art and Design.
